In 1993, it opened its first clinic at 150th Street and Broadway in West Harlem—a medically underserved area—becoming the neighborhood's first private pediatric practice and open-access clinic for Medicaid-eligible families.
Over the years, the practice has partnered with organizations like the National Health Service Corps and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center to strengthen primary care, promote health education, and support community-focused research.
